NxtHvn Curatorial Fellowship

Each year, the NxtHvn Curatorial Fellowship Program selects four Fellows from a diverse pool of applicants to receive co-working space in NxtHvn’s new building and a generous stipend to cover living and material expenses throughout the fellowship year.

In addition to co-curating an exhibition, the curatorial fellows have an opportunity to develop advanced skills in the logistics and concepts of exhibition-making, to enhance professional development skills and to form new creative partnerships within the art communities of Yale University, New Haven and New York City.

Curatorial Fellows are required to engage in a series of mentorship sessions, group critiques, studio visits and workshops with gallerists, curators, collectors, visiting artists and high school apprentices.

  • Dedicated state of the art co-working space for the duration of the fellowship

  • Professional Development Workshops twice per month

  • Assistance from a high school apprentice

  • Co-curated exhibition in the NxtHvn Gallery
