This conversation coincides with the opening celebration of Fordjour’s exhibition\, FUMBLE\, and guest role as NXTHVN’s Fall 2026 Visiting Artist. This program provides a focused discussion on artistic practice\, narrative power\, and the role of artists in civic life. The discussion will address how artists shape public understanding\, how personal and collective histories inform creative work\, and how institutions can better support emerging talent.  \nThe talk is supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation\, as part of the Defying Boundaries: MacArthur Fellows at 45. \nThis moment calls for creative courage. For 45 years\, MacArthur Fellows have expanded the boundaries of possibility by questioning conventions\, crossing disciplines\, and driving collective progress.
