On Bondage

I think of the many kinds of bonds; those that are physical and others metaphorical, those that require heat and those that set at room temperature, bonds that are intimate and the ones that are made only when the visual connection is perceived by the brain.

Bonding and bondage have become quite central to me. Sculpture is about bonding like a great philosopher or sculptor rather once said “Sculpture is the magic that happens when materials meet.”

I think about MIG welding and I think about supper glue.

I think about fiber glass resin as equally as I think about wheat pasting.

I think of where porous and non-porous collide.

I think of UV glue just as much hot glue occupies my burnt skin and studio practice.
